Opportunity classes

Opportunity Classes (OC) are specialised programs in NSW public schools for academically high potential or gifted students in Year 5 and Year 6. These classes bring together like-minded learners and provide an enriched curriculum tailored to their learning needs. To be considered for placement, students sit the Opportunity Class Placement Test in Year 4. This is a state-wide test conducted by the NSW Department of Education.

For more information about Opportunity Classes and the application and test process, visit the Department of Education’s Opportunity Class website.
